The International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA) will be celebrating Surety Week, a week of celebration of the Surety sector.

From February 13 to 16, 2023, ICISA will be arranging eight (8) virtual sessions featuring debates, interviews, webinars and presentations aimed at increasing awareness of the valuable economic role of the surety industry. Experts in the sector have been invited to join this initiative to share their views on issues faced by the industry.

One of the sessions which will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 will include Steve Ness, SAC’s president, who will be joined by Joe Shaw, Senior Market Services Executive at the International Underwriting Association of London; to discuss the topic of “Responding to Regulatory Change”. The surety sector, like other financial services, faces a rapidly changing regulatory environment. The volume and the substance of these changes creates complexity for insurers, brokers and their clients. We take a look at some of the major developments, as well as wider trends the sector must adapt to.
